We Congratulate Barry and Karl
Bears and their admirers from across California gathered in Fresno the weekend of August 15, 2008 to find out who the new Mr. Golden State Bear and Mr. Golden State Cub would be.
Events were held at The Den and other locations around Fresno. All of which culminated at the The Den on Saturday, August 16, 2008. Out of the pool of contestants, the winners emerged.
Mr. Barry Welch (top right, no pun intended) roped the much-lauded title of Mr. Golden State Bear. And The Den's very own Karl Jensen (bottom right, still no pun intended) snared the title of Mr. Golden State Cub.
So, if you see Barry out and about with all his bearish-ness congratulate him! When you're at The Den and see Karl behind the bar in all his cubby goodness, congratulate him!
